In 2013, Year 3 studied Hinduism in R.E. and India in Geography, including the Hindu Festival of Diwali. One of the key stories Hindus associate with Diwali is the story of Rama and Sita: a story of love and the battle between good and evil.

The children from Year 3 (ages 7 and 8), made their own shadow puppets for the story, using measuring skills (Maths) to ensure that the characters and scenery were in proportion to each other. They also split into teams of five to read the story and act it out with puppets.

The challenge they were given was that the recording of the entire movie had to be completed from start to finish in 2 hours! This is the result of their efforts. It\'s a little rough around the edges, but we think you\'ll enjoy this creative angle on this ancient story.
