Mandela Day 2022 takes place on the 18th of July to celebrate the great work and legacy of South African human rights activist Nelson Mandela. Nelson Mandela fought to end apartheid in South Africa and was imprisoned for many years because of his belief that everyone should be equal. When Mandela was freed he became the first black president of South Africa and Mandela Day celebrates his legacy on his birthday every year.
