This tutorial is for the very versatile whip stitch (also known as the overcast stitch). This one in particular is a great stitch to know how to do because it\'s easy, fast and a good choice in many different situations.

Ideal for hand sewing everything from stuffed toys to tears in clothes, the whip stitch can be used on seams, hems and raw edges. The idea is to just \'whip\' the thread around and around the fabric edge to enclose it.

Thanks for watching!
